My Rooster Report

Compare colleges by what they will really cost you.

Tell us the student's grades, major and up to ten schools. We rank them by net price, estimated odds and the five things your family cares about most. We add schools you have not considered, and send one personal PDF.

A real person answers any concern within 48 hours, every day of the week, weekends included.

How it works

Two short forms from you, one PDF from us. You never need to send tax returns or account numbers.

  1. Pay, then tell us about the student

About 10 minutes: grades, test scores, intended major, up to ten schools, a budget and what matters most.

  2. We send your calculator links

Within 48 hours you get a link to each school's own net price calculator, plus any schools we suggest.

  3. You type in what each calculator shows

About 20 minutes. Your income and savings go only into the school's calculator. We only ask for the final number.

  4. We build and check the report

We rank every school, tier each one as reach, target or likely, and check every figure against its source.

  5. Your PDF arrives

Within 48 hours of your net prices, signed by the person who checked it.

Data, not counseling

What we do

  • Rank your schools by net price, estimated odds and the priorities you chose.
  • Suggest schools you may not have considered, with the reason for each.
  • Show how every score was built, so you can see what drove the order.
  • Answer your questions within 48 hours.

What we do not do

  • Tell a student where they should go. That choice is yours.
  • Advise on essays or application strategy.
  • Promise admission, aid or savings. Final offers can differ from any estimate.
  • Take money from colleges or scholarship sites. You are the only one who pays us.

Why we built this

I built this model for my own son's college search. Every school had its own net price calculator, and none of them could be put side by side. Sticker prices hid how far apart the real costs were.

So I put every school into one comparison, weighted by what mattered to our family, and added schools we had not thought of. This report is that comparison, built for your family.

My last name, Hahn, is German for rooster. Roosters are up early and ready to work, which is how I like to work on your report.

Questions

Do you see our financial information?

No. You run each school's net price calculator yourself and send us only the final number. We never ask for tax returns, account numbers or Social Security numbers.

How do you estimate a student's odds?

We compare the student's grades and test scores with each school's published admit rate and score range, then place the school as a reach, a target or likely. These are estimates built from public numbers. They are not predictions.

Where do the schools you suggest come from?

We look for schools that match the major, the budget and the priorities, using public data such as College Scorecard and regional tuition-exchange programs. We check each suggestion on the school's own site, mark it as new, and say why it is there.

Do you use AI?

Yes, as a helper. An AI assistant helps build the model and draft the pages. A person checks every figure against its source and signs each report. We do not use AI to decide where a student should go.

Is this admissions counseling?

No. We give you data and a ranking built from your own priorities. We do not advise on essays or strategy, and we do not promise admission, aid or savings.

What if a calculator will not run or a school has none?

Skip it. We estimate that school from College Scorecard data and mark it clearly as an estimate in your report.

Who is this for?

Parents and students who are choosing among colleges and care about net price. The forms are for parents, or students who are 18 or older.

How is my information handled?

We keep it only to build your report and answer you, and we never sell or share it. Read the privacy policy.
